PERFRORMANCE/PRODUCTION INTERNSHIPS:

ALLENBERRY PLAYHOUSE presents a 10 show season of plays and musicals from March to December. Located in Boiling Springs PA about three hours from NYC Allenberry is now accepting applications for ten (10) internship positions for the 2010-2011 season to help support its production efforts and to provide pre-professional opportunities for entry-level university graduates with a desire to make a career in the theatre. Six (6) interns will participate in all areas of the theatre’s operation: Acting, Teaching, Set construction/painting, Props, Lighting, Costuming, Marketing, Box Office, Front of House, and Development. Two (2) positions are technical theatre positions, which will provide hands-on experience in set construction. Design opportunities may also be available for the right candidate. One (1) position is administrative working in the box office and with the marketing. This is an extremely comprehensive program requiring commitment, energy, and stamina. The days promise to be long, but the rewards can be great. This experience is total immersion in the inner workings of a historical regional stock theatre working alongside an all professional ensemble, artistic and design team.

Allenberry Playhouse will provide compensation for the intern company in the form of furnished housing, Daily food service and a monthly stipend starting at $150. We are looking for recent university grads, but will gladly consider all who wish to apply for these positions with a recent headshot or photo, a resume, and three references we can call. AUDITIONS AND CASTING:

Allenberry Playhouse located just three hours from NYC is accepting submissions and will have an open casting call for all parts in their upcoming 2010 season. The season includes Anything Goes, Murder On The Nile, No Sex Please, We’re British, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, My Fair Lady, Mid-life: The Crisis Musical, Not Now, Darling, Over the River and Through the Woods, and our annual holiday show and murder mystery. Auditions will be held in NYC, January 5-7, between 10am and 5pm, and at the Playhouse, January 12th and 13th, 6:30-10:00pm. Those auditioning should prepare a one minute monologue, 16 bars of an up tempo song and be prepared to move. Contracts are available for all parts, excellent non equity pay which includes housing, food and multiple casting bonuses.
